Kyiv Region Gradually Revives

(Укр) Команда зібралась на власній шкільній пасіці після тривалого періоду бойових дій

The student team of the social school enterprise (SSE) “School Hive” resumed their work in the Kalyta Territorial Community of Kyiv oblast.

The kids gathered at their own school bee-garden after the long period of active military offensive. They checked how bees survived the winter, cleaned up the area, and received humanitarian aid.

Within the Shelter Project, East Europe Foundation transferred humanitarian help to the entire community as well as to the enterprise to ensure comfortable conditions for its work.

“School Hive” is an apiary which was founded in 2021 within the project “Establishment of Social School Enterprises in the Rural Areas.” This project was being implemented by East Europe Foundation and ChildFund Deutschland e.V. financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.

As of today, 5 EEF’s partner organizations within the Shelter Project provide support to people who had to leave their homes and are staying in Vinnytsia, Lviv, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, and Zakarpattia oblasts or are on their way to the border to find shelter abroad.

Besides, humanitarian aid was transferred to Kharkiv and the communities of Kharkiv oblast, residents of Sumy, Nizhyn, Chernihiv, Bucha, Irpin, Vorzel, Hostomel, Klavdievo-Tarasove, as well as to Pylypivka, Kalyta, and other territorial communities of Kyiv oblast.

The aid was also delivered to the hospitals of Kyiv.

We are grateful for all of the donations and to all of the partners who actively participate in the initiative! You can find out more and support the Project here.
