Solidarity truck

The University of Murcia, which is one of the ten most ancient universities in Spain, sent a “solidarity truck” with humanitarian help to Ukraine.

Twenty-four tons of food, medicines, warm clothing and footwear, hygiene products, and other necessities were sent to the East Europe Foundation and already arrived at the warehouse of our partners on March 11.

East Europe Foundation would like to express our sincere thanks to the entire Spanish community for support, and personally to the Director of the Office for Social Assistance José Ángel Martínez López, the Coordinator for Social Responsibility Inés López-López and the Vice-Chancellor for Social Responsibility and Transparency Longinos Marín from the University of Murcia, who arranged to collect the relevant items among the University Community.

”We encourage the entire University community, state administrations, institutions, businesses, and NGOs to contribute since we aim to send tons of necessities to Ukraine,” – says José Angel Martínez López.

Thanks to the Spanish company “Transportes la Espada” for delivery of the goods, and to the Town Council of Sudova Vyshnia and our partner Jurii Wojcicki for help with distribution of humanitarian help among the centers for internally displaced persons in Ukraine

Other Spanish companies that made this happen are: DFM Rent a Car, Expomed, Lokímica, Andamur, MLC Carburantes, Saeco, El Dulce, Rótulos Pelegrín, Área 117 Madrid, Marvimundo, Pádel Nuestro, Balneario de Archena and ISGF.

#WeAreUkraine – indicates the side of the truck. With such support, we will win!
