Competition for the position of Program Communications Coordinator

East Europe Foundation is announcing a competition for the position of Program Communications Coordinator to support programs implemented by the organization.

Location: Kyiv, Ukraine

Job Type: Hybrid

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing the program’s short- and long-term communication strategy given the goals and interests of key stakeholders, available resources, historical experience, and other factors.
  • Coordinating communication efforts with key stakeholders and the implementation team, as well as with other programs introduced by the organization to ensure their complementarity and consistency.
  • Planning and conducting information campaigns.
  • Establishing and maintaining relations with the media.
  • Developing informational materials for the program (press releases, news, articles, briefing notes, talking points, etc.).
  • Planning and hosting public events within the program (press conferences, presentations, briefings, etc.).
  • Preparing formal statements, comments, speeches, and other public presentations.
  • Participating in the annual program planning, monitoring and evaluation processes, reporting, and ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of the information provided.
  • Coordinating the communication activities of the partners of East Europe Foundation / program, ensuring their compliance with the requirements of the adopted branding policy, and sharing recommendations on their communication activities.
  • Controlling the manufacture of branded / informational materials.
  • Performing other tasks set in the annual program plan.

Qualification and Expertise:

  • Higher education with major in communications, journalism, international relations, or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience in developing and introducing successful communications strategies intended for a wider audience.
  • Previous experience in strategic communications within programs funded by international donors will be an advantage.
  • Understanding the processes undergoing in the Ukrainian civil society sector, desire to consider the latter and implement the related supporting activities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral presentation skills.
  • Skills to environmentally manage, mentor, and develop personnel.
  • Excellent speaking, writing, editing, reporting, and other communication skills in English and Ukrainian.
