East Europe Foundation, as part of the USAID/UK Dev Project Support for Digital Transformation, announces a competition for the position of Communications Manager for joint projects with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

The requirements for the expert position include close cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Transformation and international partners. The main focus of the work will be regular communication on Diia products.

Start date: May 2024.

The term of engagement is until the end of 2024 with a possible extension.

Employment: full-time.

Work format: mixed (online with some offline events).

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Develop and implement communication strategies, plans, information events and campaigns.
• Coordinate communication activities with the team, donors, beneficiaries, recipients, and project partners.
• Interact with the project’s communication channels, including the website, Facebook, etc.
• Develop a unified visual style (logo, fonts, templates) and monitor its implementation.
• Create informational materials within the project(s) (press releases, social media posts, scripts for videos, presentations, talking points, etc.
• Prepare, coordinate, and distribute information messages, digital reports, etc.
• Participate in the preparation of project meetings and presentations of project results.
• Establish and maintain relationships with the media (initiate media coverage, invitations to events, pitching news).
• Plan and organize public events within the project(s) (press conferences, interviews, presentations, briefings, video shootings, etc.).
• Monitor the media.

Desired skills and work experience:

• higher education in the field of journalism;
• at least two years of experience in communications;
• ability to write texts quickly in Ukrainian and English;
• experience in preparing television stories, news, reviews, newsletters, reports, press releases;
• English proficiency at C1-C2 level.
