Competition for the position of DevOps Engineer for the administration and implementation of an online platform for managing the lease of state property

East Europe Foundation, within the framework of the USAID/UK aid Transparency and Accountability in Public Administration and Services (TAPAS) project, announces a competition for a DevOps Engineer to join the digital team to support the State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPFU ) in administering and implementing an online platform for managing state property leases.

Term of engagement: four months, with the possibility of remote work.

Main tasks:

  • Monitoring, support and maintenance of projects of the State Property Fund of Ukraine.
  • Cooperation with development and technical teams to ensure stability and performance of SPFU systems.
  • Participation in the planning and implementation of infrastructure projects.
  • Improving of cloud infrastructure architecture to meet security/performance/reliability/cost requirements.

Requirements for the candidate:

  • At least three years of experience in the development, implementation, and administration of information systems.
  • Experience in systems development in the field of lease relations will be an advantage.
  • Understanding of IT development project management using Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of the SDLC.
  • Understanding of the software design and development process, formulation of high-level and detailed technical requirements for a software product.
  • Written and spoken English at least B1 level.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Excellent planning and time management skills.

Skills and competencies: 

  • Understanding of TCP/IP DNS.
  • Experience with Nginx, PHP, PostgreSQL, Redis (redis cluster), DNS, SSH.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Hashicorp Vault.
  • Experience in task automation and CI/CD setup.
  • Experience in analyzing and solving network problems.
  • Confident knowledge of Linux Ubuntu.
  • Experience in project monitoring, support, and maintenance.
  • Ability to analyze and learn quickly.
  • High level of responsibility and attention to details.
