Contest for the position of Program Coordinator

East Europe Foundation is announcing a contest for the position of Program Coordinator for the assistance in the realization of a project.

Start date: July 2025

Location: Kyiv, Ukraine

Full time

Work format: mixed

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Ensures that program goals are reached based on the organization of created results from a separate project, or pertaining to the program, in accordance to the contract with the grantor.
  • In tandem with the program manager, creates an approach to planning and implementing a project, planning according to the contents, steps, spending, creates approaches to quality control, communications, etc., according to the internal politics and procedures of the Fund, and approaches listed in the program in general (according to possibility).
  • In tandem with the program manager, oversees risk management of the project, according to established risk strategy work, implementing appropriate reaction to risks.
  • Gives the program manager recommendations and proposals regarding experts and consultants from various fields that may be helpful toward achieving the project’s assignments.
  • Forms (actualizes) the project plan.
  • Controls the realization of project plans, signed agreements and contracts, controls receiving the budget, schedule, and achievements of key factors indicating achieved results of the project; including overseeing the performance of subordinates.
  • Makes proposals to the project manager regarding changes to financing of the project.
  • Contributes to the operative provision of communication specialists with the necessary information regarding the project in order to effectively spread information about the project and its results.
  • Participates in press conferences, radio and television interviews, with the goal of demonstrating the project and it’s results.
  • Provides all necessary information on the project to generate a program report.
  • Performs other tasks assigned by the manager, within the limits of own competence.

Qualification requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in managements, government control; social sciences, economics, or other relevant field.
  • At least one year experience in a relevant field.
  • Competent use of a PC, familiarity with the instruments MS Office and Google Drive.
  • Strong communicational skills (Ukrainian and English languages).
  • Proficiency in the English language (level B2 and higher).
  • Work experience in the civil sector and/or international organizations, would be an advantage.

  • Ability to work with information and to systematize it.
  • Attention to detail, responsibility, proactiveness.
  • High level of self-organization.
  • Desire to learn.
  • Ability to work well while multitasking, adaptivity to changes.
  • Moderation and diligence in completing assigned tasks.
