East Europe Foundation is looking for a Communications Expert to work closely with the Ministry of Digital Transformation within the USAID/UK aid project TAPAS.

Description: 

We are looking for those who dream of communicating about the digital transformation of Ukraine. The work involves close cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Transformation and international partners. The main focus of the work will be regular communication about the open data sphere.

Duties:

• Develop and implement a communication strategy for the open data sphere;
• Cooperate with the mass media: generate information occasions, prepare press materials (press releases, author’s columns, interviews, etc.), develop ideas for special projects and implement them;
• Analyze the effectiveness of communication channels;
• Contribute to annual work plans and program monitoring, evaluation, and reporting, ensure timely and accurate information provided;
• Cooperate effectively with external contractors (designers, printers, translators): preparation of technical tasks, implementation control;
• Participate in the preparation and holding of public events;
• Evaluate the effectiveness of communication activities;
• Coordinate communication activities of partners implementing the Fund’s programs and consulting partners regarding their communication activities;
• Perform other tasks as envisaged by the annual work plan of the EEF programs/projects;
• Interact closely with project managers at all stages of project preparation and implementation.

Qualifications:

• Experience as a communication manager, PR manager from 2 years;
• Knowledge in creating and implementing communication strategies;
• Understanding of SMM and digital marketing;
• Experience in working with mass media;
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, international relations, or a related field;
• Excellent speaking, writing, editing, reporting and other communication skills in English and Ukrainian;
• Prior experience in cooperation with government institutions, and international projects of material and technical assistance. Also, understanding the social and political situation in Ukraine and digitalization.
