East Europe Foundation, within the framework of cooperation with the Swiss-Ukrainian “E-governance for Accountability and Participation” (EGAP) program, announces a competition for the position of an English-speaking writer.

Work Schedule: Full time

Work Format: online / online-hybrid

Start date: April – May 2025

Responsibilities:

Writer under the supervision of the communications manager of the EGAP program must:

• Prepare articles, press releases, and various communication materials, which showcase the key activity of the EGAP program.
• Propose themes of East Europe Foundation and EGAP program to Ukrainian and international media, accompany Ukrainian and international mass media in the creation of communication materials.
• Prepare abstracts for speeches and presentations by representatives of East Europe Foundation and the Embassy of Switzerland in Ukraine.
• Prepare content for social networks – Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram.
• Gather success stories, interview users of our services and publish content on the websites of the EGAP Program and East Europe Foundation.
• Assign tasks to the designer with the preparation of visuals for communication materials.
• Edit and proofread English-language materials of the EGAP Program.
• Perform other tasks of the communication manager.

Qualification requirements:

• High level of proficiency in English (not lower than level C1).
• Proficiency in the Ukrainian language.
• Strong writing ability in English.
• Experience in a similar position of three or more years.
• Sufficient grammar skills and attention to detail.
• Interest in gathering, analyzing, and structuring information and performing tasks in compliance with deadlines.
• Experience in communications in IT, in the public or government sector, will be considered and advantage.
