The introduction of eKonopli will ensure the transparency and openness of the industrial hemp market. It will simplify reporting for enterprises engaged in sowing, growing, and processing hemp for industrial purposes. Additionally, the system will allow for the collection of objective statistical and analytical data.

«The new eKonopli service will promote the development of this sector, as the application of industrial hemp is extremely broad — from light and food industries to pulp and paper. Hemp is a high-margin niche crop with extensive processing opportunities», noted the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Vitalii Koval.

Entrepreneurs engaged in sowing, growing, and processing hemp for industrial purposes will have access to the following features in the eKonopli system:

• Registration of enterprises in the field of industrial hemp
• Registration and management of land plots
• Declaration of sowing and harvests
• Entry of laboratory research data.

«The implementation of the e-Konopli system marks another important step towards deregulating the cultivation of industrial hemp in Ukraine. One of the key features of the system is the use of the declarative principle for providing information to the registry, which significantly reduces bureaucratic hurdles and increases transparency in the sector», said Vitor Liakh, East Europe Foundation President.

The eKonopli system is integrated with a number of related state registers and systems. This will ensure seamless interaction and data exchange with such important resources as:

• Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs, and Public Formations (EDR)
• State Register of Property Rights to Real Estate (DRRP)
• State Land Cadastre (DZK)
• Information and Communication System “e-Roslynnytstvo (State Register of Plant Varieties Suitable for Distribution in Ukraine; Register of Certificates for Seeds and/or Planting Material)

To register in the Register, you need to:

• Have a qualified electronic signature.
• Submit an application through the electronic cabinet of the eKonopli system.

The service was implemented by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine within the framework of EGAP Program, implemented by East Government of Switzerland.

The register was created based on the Diia.Engine platform launched by the Ministry of Digital Transformation. Thanks to the use of this tool, significant time and resources were saved during the work on the register.
