Hotline Chatbot of the Kalush City Council  https://hotline.kalushcity.gov.ua/  is a successful example of a civic tech tool that has proven useful to the community since the Covid19 pandemic and greatly simplified the way people apply to the authorities.

Hotline Chatbot of the Kalush City Council  is a successful example of a civic tech tool that has proven useful to the community since the Covid19 pandemic and greatly simplified the work of the hotline, because now it does not take long to identity a person who is contacting.

The most frequent queries which citizens raised through Chatbot concerned housing and utility services (45%), city street lights (13.6%), security (5%), etc.

In Kalush, 11 training sessions were held for community residents to develop skills of using the Chatbot. In addition to it, an advocacy campaign was held to support the Chatbot.

By the way, the source code of the software under the GPL open license is published on the Internet for free use by other communities: https://github.com/vasylzavalko/hotline. We invite you to use it and scale the impact of this effective digital solution.

Government-Community Dialogue was implemented within the framework of 3D Project: Development in spite of obstacles, which was implemented by East Europe Foundation with the financial support of the European Union.
