EGAP Program to select 16 communities in Sumy, Kherson, Khmelnytskyi and Chernihiv regions to implement digitalization projects.
Thanks to the project in the regions, the winning communities will be able to implement a number of innovative solutions: introduce effective digital tools in the local government; become energy independent; develop digital literacy courses for their residents, and create activity centers. These and other projects will be implemented under the EGAP Program, funded by Switzerland and implemented by East Europe Foundation in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
Currently, the EGAP Regional Digitalization Program is working in nine target regions across Ukraine: Vinnytsia, Volyn, Dnipro, Luhansk, Odesa, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kherson, and Khmelnytskyi. The last three have recently joined the Program after signing a trilateral Memorandum at the Swiss Embassy.
16 pilot communities will be selected through an open competition: four each in Sumy, Kherson, Khmelnytskyi and Chernihiv regions.
«We are waiting for Communities that are eager for change and ready to actively implement the latest technologies over the next four years. We have not only a vision, algorithms and methodologies, but also practical experience in implementing digital transformation projects. Together, we will make local authorities more transparent and efficient, and services more accessible», – says Serhiy Gunko, coordinator of the EGAP Regional Digitalization Program.
