East Europe Foundation awarded four grants to support initiatives aimed at assisting internally displaced persons and other vulnerable groups affected by hostilities. Funding is granted under the Shelter Program.
Grantees include the following organizations:
Rivne Regional Organization of the All-Ukrainian Non-Governmental Organization Civil Network OPORA
The purpose of the Initiative is to provide better living conditions for internally displaced persons in five shelters in Kostopil, Volodymyrets and Bugryn communities. Grant funds will be used to buy large and small domestic appliances and to provide 250 people living in these shelters with groceries and other essential supplies.
Grant Amount: UAH 379,875.00.
NGO Podilsky Regional Development Agency
The purpose of the project is to provide assistance to forcibly displaced persons living in three shelters in Severynivka and Bar communities, Vinnytsia region. IDPs will be provided with basic domestic appliances such as washing machines and freezers as well as groceries, bed linen and hygiene products. The project will have psychologists available to provide psychological counseling upon request.
Grant Amount: UAH 376,300.00.
Local Association of Local Self-Government Bodies Prykarpattia ATC Development Agency
The purpose of the project is to help internally displaced persons and other vulnerable people residing in five shelters in Burshtyn, Dolyna and Voyniliv communities. Within the scope of the project, 450 grocery packages will be procured and delivered using local authorities. In addition to it, the project will aim to improve overall living conditions in shelters.
Grant Amount: UAH 379,589.95.
NGO Centre for Initiative Development InSource
The purpose of the Initiative is to provide assistance to people living in shelters in Khorostkiv community, Ternopil region. The project will help improve general living conditions in four shelters through equipping them with household appliances and well as supplying groceries and other necessities. It is expected that the project will provide psychological care for more than 80 persons affected by hostilities.
Grant amount: UAH 379,512.00.
