The report of East Europe Foundation for 2023–2024 is a vivid testament to resilience, innovation, and solidarity in the face of full-scale war. During this period, the organization not only maintained its efficiency but also expanded its range of activities.
The Foundation implemented more than 18 programs within five clusters: Digital governance and accountability, humanitarian assistance and recovery, business and government support, socio-political and international advocacy, and civil society development and support.
We provided more than 100 grants to CSOs for institutional development, implementation of important projects, and humanitarian response. As part of its digital programs, EGAP supported the creation of the Mriia educational ecosystem and the internationally recognized Online Marriage service. The CDTO Campus project trained hundreds of digital managers. The Diia.Education platform helped nearly two million Ukrainians learn new professions and skills.
The Foundation provided humanitarian aid to more than 28 thousand Ukrainians, including those living in frontline communities. Through the Together for Support Program, shelters were set up in schools in Chernihiv region, and shelters for IDPs were created as part of the Together We Shelter initiative. The Foundation also financed the purchase of equipment and training for local NGOs.
The Power Up! Program provided grants to enterprises to improve energy efficiency and implemented large-scale energy modernization projects, including at the Ministry of Finance. The Recovery and Resilience Program enhanced the competencies of civil servants for post-war reconstruction.
The Foundation actively promoted Ukraine’s voice in the international arena: It organized delegations’ visits to Kyiv and spoke at forums in Berlin and Zurich. The main idea is digital transformation, inclusive recovery, and sustainable governance as a key to European integration.
