Developing Digital Registers

In spite of the war, Ukraine’s government stays committed to fostering digital transformation of the state.

The key objective in the process of digital transformation is to transition from paper to digital workflow and to create digital registers in order to ensure prompt and secure information exchange between government authorities. Once digital registers are implemented, citizens will no longer be required to present paper-based certificates.

Moreover, digital registers, once fully operational, will allow official bodies to have unimpeded access to the necessary data, thus, enhancing their analytical and predictive capabilities and, improving the quality of government decision-making overall.

The goal of the Project “Digital Registers for Data-Based Decision Making” is to support the creation of essential digital public infrastructure and, in cooperation with central executive bodies, to develop about 20 new digital registers.

The Project is being executed by the East Europe Foundation, collaborating with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and receiving support from the Innovation Lab for EU Association of Ukraine project, implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Government.

The project implementation period is from December 2022 to December 2023.
