During the full-scale war, Ukraine received strong support from the technology companies. Google was one of the first to side with our country. Yet, it continues to support Ukraines through co-implementing the initiatives and projects of the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
Diia.Digital Education is one of these projects. Recently, Google.org provided a $2 million grant for the platform development. The purpose of the project is to ensure reskilling and improving the digital skills for Ukrainians who have lost their jobs or are at risk, in particular, forcibly displaced persons, women and the elderly.
In addition to it, the platform will be upgraded to include business reference capability, which will help job seekers in the employment process and will certainly contribute to the economic revival of Ukraine. It has been envisioned to add the platform content translation feature to improve user experience.
“I remember when back in 2020, with the support of the Government of Switzerland and the EGAP Program, the national project Diia. Digital Education was just launched. And today we are happy that such strong partners as Google.org are joining this initiative,” said Victor Liakh, President of East Europe Foundation.
The partner in this project is East Europe Foundation. We would like to remind you that the Foundation is a strategic partner of the Ministry of Digital Transformation. In particular, Diia.Digital Education platform was developed within the framework of the EGAP Program, which is implemented by East Europe Foundation with the support of Switzerland.
