This year, 160 companies from 12 countries around the world applied to particvipate in this award program. 84 of them became finalists and winners. The winners were chosen by an independent jury, which included experts from the USA, Japan and European countries.
As partners of this year’s campaign, the Foundation received an award for Zrozumilo. This learning platform was created during the COVID-19 pandemic. During the war, it became a source of critical knowledge for more than 600 thousand Ukrainians. Free online courses on landmine safety, psychological support, countering propaganda and disinformation are available here: https://bit.ly/Zrozumilo_Platform
We have finalists and winning partners in several award categories:
Atmosfera company, our partner under EGAP Program, got the Planet Award. Together, we have managed to install 22 solar power plants with a capacity of 160 kW in Administrative Service Centers, or ASCs, in Volyn, Dnipro, Vinnytsia, Chernihiv and Odesa regions. Thanks to the solar panels, ASCs will operate during winter blackouts https://bit.ly/Atmosfera_EGAP_Program
State Company “Infotech”, together with which we developed the Demining Ukraine mobile application, got the Planet Award. This app has already become a valuable tool for many Ukrainians because it is used to promptly notify the SES demining units about discovery of landmines and shells, track dangerous areas on an interactive map and learn about different types of UXOs – even become a sapper: https://bit.ly/Infotech_Demining_Ukraine
TASK FORCE linguistic services company, together with which we performed the translation of the Diia.Education website materials, became a finalist in the Society category. https://bit.ly/TaskForce_DiiaEducation
According to the Award organizers – UN Global Compact in Ukraine, “The idea of partnership is at the heart of the international award.” I would like to add that the idea of partnership is also at the heart of East Europe Foundation. No significant achievement of our organization could have happened if we did not believe in the power of unity and synergy. Our strength is in partnership.
