Demining Ukraine Application has already become a valuable tool for many Ukrainians. Using this tool, citizens can promptly report the detected landmines and munitions to the demining units; track dangerous areas on the interactive map and learn about different types of EO. The Application can help you learn how to become a deminer.

East Europe Foundation, together with the State Emergency Service, are constantly working on improving the Application. This tool is especially important in the wartime. This week, we are excited to present a major update to the Application.

Here are the new features supported by the updated App:

Improved visual presentation and functionality of the Map to add filters and a search by address field;

Embedded the Offline Map functionality to allow users to track dangerous areas while working offline;

Localized the Application in English to make sure foreign nationals and Ukraine international visitors can use the App. Indeed, landmine safety is for everyone!

Upgraded push notifications to include ‘you are in a dangerous zone’ feature and submitted application status tracking;

Designed the content management panel. Sections “Information” and “Features and Hints” will be automatically updated with new important and useful data about the EO.

Minor bugs that you might not even notice when using the Application were also fixed.

Indeed, there are no limits to perfection. We, at East Europe Foundation, and our partners are striving to ensure the best possible performance, even in small things. Therefore, the Demining Ukraine Application will be continuously improved.

The mobile Application’s aim is twofold: to raise awareness of the public about hazards and to protect civilians from explosive ordnance. To that end, the mobile application works as a convenient communication channel to ensure smooth interaction between citizens and the State Emergency Service. With each update of the App, the progress towards this goal will continue to improve.
