The war in Ukraine continues… Every day, intense fighting only deepens the humanitarian crisis. However, Ukrainians do not give up and persevere, helping each other. Civil society organizations have become a strong and reliable support for people during the war. In its turn, East Europe Foundation strives to become even stronger support for these organizations.
As part of the Together We Shelter Program, the Foundation developed an online course How to Prevent 90 Percent of Problems in Humanitarian Response to help civil society activists to improve their knowledge and skills. It is already available at no charge on the Zrozumilo! Online Educational Platform.
The course covers the basic principles and standards of humanitarian response, such as the standards of accountability to the affected population and the policy on protection from sexual exploitation and abuse.

The online course consists of nine modules that will help civil society better understand humanitarian response standards, including the core standard on quality and accountability.
This course will be valuable for newly established civil society organizations and NGOs. It will also be useful to people who plan to create their own public organization in the future to provide assistance to the population.
