The course is a great opportunity for students to learn about civilian safety basics and acquire practical skills in responding to emergency situations.
This course has been delivered in a non-standard format: it combines the training materials with the elements of Minecraft computer game to make it more compelling for participants and facilitate learning.
The course consists of 10 video lectures complemented by assignments and tests for students.
Upon completion of the course, students who successfully pass the midterm and final tests will be presented with a course certificate.
The video tutorial Caution: Landmines introduces children to the basics of landmine safety and helps them develop skills in handling explosive ordnance.
All video materials were developed together with the State Emergency Service.
Both the course and the video tutorial are free and available on the Zrozumilo! Online Educational Platform.
In order to help educators integrate the training materials into the educational process, East Europe Foundation has developed the landmine safety teaching methodology.
The online course, the video tutorial and methodological recommendations were developed by East Europe Foundation in the framework of the Online Safety Classes for Children Program thanks to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the sincere support of the American people through the USAID HOVERLA Project.
