A Canadian journalist, writer and media expert, worked in the US, in various Asian countries and for more than 10 years was a member and consultant for a variety of UN missions. Born in Ukraine, was the spokesperson for the OSCE’s Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine over 2014–2015.

Headed the Ukrainian-Canadian Students Union (SUSK), was on the editorial board of The Ukrainian Week, and worked at an Ottawa radio station.

Studied journalism and political science at George Washington and Columbia Universities, receiving a BA in journalism from the Carleton University (Ottawa).
