Inclusive Humanitarian Aid

An online course for organizations looking to make their spaces and services more accessible for people with disabilities.

As a result of the full-scale war, the number of people from vulnerable groups in Ukraine is rapidly increasing. In particular, people with disabilities require quality humanitarian aid that meets their specific needs.

To support humanitarian organizations in this area, we have developed the online course “Inclusive Humanitarian Aid” as part of “Together for Support” program.

This course aims to enhance the awareness and professionalism of organizations working in the humanitarian field and teach them how to create barrier-free spaces. It covers the fundamental principles of inclusion, practical expert advice on finding resources and partners to improve accessibility, and effective methods for training teams.

The online course is now available for free on Zrozumilo! educational platform!

Meet the course instructors:

  • Oleksandr “Teren” Budko — a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war and public activist;
  • Uliana Pcholkina — a public activist, leader of Group for Active Rehabilitation NGO.

The training program consists of nine lectures designed to help organizations better understand the needs of people with disabilities and integrate inclusion into their activities.
