Grants for Energy Independence

We are excited to announce our new Power Up! Project.

The project is launched with the primary purpose to help Ukraine’s business sector become more energy independent.

On September 6, the project will launch a grant competition for Ukrainian businesses affected by the war in Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions.

Ten shortlisted enterprises will be awarded grants up to one million hryvnias each to procure energy-efficient equipment. The expected duration of the grant projects is between one and two and a half months.

The grant competition is open to business entities (limited liability companies, additional liability companies, general partnerships, joint stock companies) and municipal enterprises that have been affected by military operations and have documented evidence of direct impact (destruction and/or damage to the company’s property) or indirect impact (reduced production capacity).

The Power Up! project is supported by the program Promotion of Energy Efficiency and Implementation of the EU Energy Efficiency Directive in Ukraine implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany and co-financed by the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
