East Europe Foundation, with support from the European Union, announces a competition for participation in the Institutional Development Program for CSOs. Organizations that have previously received funding from East Europe Foundation through the grant mechanism between 2018 and 2024 are invited to participate.
This is the first grant competition launched under the “Phoenix: The Power of Communities” project, which aims to support civil society organizations adapting to new challenges, enhancing their effectiveness, and strengthening institutional resilience.
The competition will support ten organizations, each receiving grants ranging from UAH 800,000 to UAH 1,100,000. The expected duration of the projects is six to twelve months.
Civil society organizations with prior experience collaborating with East Europe Foundation and receiving grant support between 2018 and 2024 are invited to apply. However, only organizations that have not previously participated in the Institutional Support Program under the previous “Phoenix: Strong Ukraine in Time of War” project are eligible.
Grant support aims to help organizations overcome resource shortages, develop new areas of activity, and adapt to changes caused by the ongoing war. The program also focuses on improving management systems, strengthening financial and administrative capacity, and developing communication and IT tools. Organizations will be able to use the grants for various purposes, including developing internal policies, improving technical support, training their teams, conducting audits, purchasing necessary equipment, and implementing security measures.
In addition to financial support, selected organizations will receive training, consultations, and mentoring.

Application for the competition are accepted until 15:00 on May 23, 2025, exclusively through East Europe Foundation’s Grant Portal.
