On March, the WSIS 2023 Forum was held in Geneva.
The forum is a platform for discussing the main challenges of the information society, sharing experience and the latest trends, and establishing international partnerships.
The report of the Ukrainian delegation focused on the localization of digital transformation in Ukraine. They talked about bridging the digital divide between urban and rural areas, decentralization and digital transformation reforms, and how electronic tools protect civilians and help IDPs in the face of a major war.
The speakers were Mstyslav Banik, Director of the Directorate for the Development of Electronic Services at the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Oleksandr Kulepin, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalization, and Nazar Kovalenko, Director of the Vinnytsia City Development Institute. East Europe Foundation was represented by Serhiy Gunko, EGAP Regional Digitalization Coordinator, and Oleksandra Radchenko, EGAP E-Democracy Coordinator.
The report was moderated by Jordanka Tomkova, Senior Advisor and Member of the Board of Trustees of Innovabridge Foundation.
