Diia has opened its code. Now, other countries can explore how the app works and use the code for their own government services.
Currently, the general server-side and mobile app code is available. Additionally, one document and one service have been included to demonstrate how Diia interacts with data. The selected examples are the Driver’s License and the Police Clearance Certificate. The list of available services and documents will be expanded for further testing.
The code does not provide access to government registries. To allow interested parties to test Diia’s logic, a test environment has been created with users and synthetic data.
Open Source is one of the best global practices used by governments and tech companies worldwide, including Linux, Mozilla Firefox, Android, and the European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI).

The project is implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine with the support of the Swiss-Ukrainian EGAP Program, implemented by East Europe Foundation.
