Database of Buildings Updates

Integrating digital platforms takes effort. The East Europe Foundation is grateful to the representatives of central authorities who were the first to step up, explore, and fill out the Database of Energy and Performance Characteristics of Buildings (Database of Buildings).

As part of the Power Up: Experience Sharing project, the East Europe Foundation held four workshops — and the results speak for themselves. The numerous questions, requests for clarification, and active use of technical support channels show just how timely and relevant this training was.

The National Database of Buildings is more than just a digital tool — it’s set to become a centralized, reliable source of data on Ukraine’s building fund, from structural details to energy consumption. By consolidating information across the public sector, it will help set priorities, guide modernization, and support the implementation of energy efficiency policies.\

As a result of the training, more than 900 public institutions are now connected to the database and have started entering essential data.

To make working with the database easier, we will prepare a user manual and video tutorial based on the questions and feedback gathered during the workshops.

This training is supported by the Ministry for Communities, Territories, and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine, the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine (SAEE), and GIZ Ukraine.

The Power Up: Experience Sharing project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), co-funded by the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), and supported by GIZ (GmbH) within the program Promotion of Energy Efficiency and Implementation of the EU Energy Efficiency Directive in Ukraine.
