We are pleased to announce that Ukraine has launched a large-scale address verification process in the Unified State Address Register (USAR).
This means that every street, house, and apartment will receive a unique digital identifier.
The verification process consists of several steps:
Data from the Address Register is of great importance for ensuring interaction between information systems at different levels of management and solving the problem of reducing errors in state systems regarding addresses.
The Address Register will also help reduce the likelihood of fraud related to property rights.
More than 950 communities have already undergone theoretical and practical training, received access to USAR accounts, and started address verification.
The creation of the Unified State Address Register is being implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories, and Infrastructure and the Ministry of Digital Transformation with the support of the Digital Transformation Activity funded by USAID and UK Dev with the support of the East Europe Foundation.
