New grant competition to be announced

European Union and East Europe Foundation Present New Project Supporting Public Sector of Ukraine During the War

The European Union and East Europe Foundation will present a new project to support Ukraine’s public sector during the war.

On February 16, at 12:30 at the Interfax-Ukraine News Agency in Kyiv (Reytarska Street 8/5A), a press conference will be conducted with the participation of representatives of the European Commission and East Europe Foundation. The Phoenix Project will be presented, and a grant competition for more than UAH 11 million for Ukrainian civil society organizations will also be announced.

The Phoenix Project is aimed to strengthen Ukrainian civil society, internally displaced persons and institutions, and host communities to counteract the consequences of the war. Within the Project framework, grant competitions will be announced to implement initiatives that support IDPs and host communities, relocated small and micro businesses, and develop sustainable technological solutions. A separate Project component is the institutional development of the Ukrainian public sector.

A grant competition for more than UAH 11 million will be announced at the event. Detailed information will be presented on who and what projects could receive grants within the competition’s framework.
