Contest for the position Research Lead & Analyst

East Europe Foundation is announcing a contest forthe position of “Research Lead and Analyst” for the realization of the program implemented by the organization.

Location: Kyiv, Ukraine

Work format: hybrid

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Analytics and Research:
    • – Conduct asystematic analysis of global trends, models and practices in the field of EdTech and AI in Education.
    • – Prepare analytical materials: reviews, policy briefs, recommendations.
    • – Identify key risks, opportunities and technological trends for education in Ukraine.
  • Recommendations and educational policies:
    • – Formulate practical recommendations on educational reforms, implementation of AI, overcoming the shortage of teachers and launching/evaluating pilot.
    • – Implement global innovations into local solutions for the Ukrainian education system.
  • Research projects:
    • – Develop research methodologies (quantitative/qualitative).
    • – Evaluate the effectiveness of EdTech solutions and pilot programs, prepare research reports.
    • – Collect and analyze data (surveys, interviews, desk research).
  • Stakeholder Participation and Engagement:
    • – Work with universities, research centers, international organizations.
    • – Collect local data and insights through schools, communities, education departments.
  • Reporting and Coordination:
    • – Prepare regular updates on progress, risks, needs and KPIs.
    • – Collaborate with CoE leader and WINWIN team.

Qualifications:

  • Higher education degree in the fields of social sciences, education, economics, public policy, analytics or related fields. Master’s degree is seen as an advantage (MPP, MA Education, Public Policy, Data & Evidence, Statistics).
  • 4+ years of work experience in research, analytics, EdTech, education policy, innovation or technology implementation. Experience in conducting research, evaluating pilot programs, processing data, preparing analytical products. Experience in international programs, think tanks or EdTech companies is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of project management.
  • Proficiency in: Google Workspace; Data analysis tools (Excel/Sheets); Research tools (Forms, Typeform, SurveyMonkey); Visualization (Canva, Slides), Basic understanding of modern EdTech solutions and AI models. Preferred: PowerBI / Tableau Stata / R / Python for data analysis.
  • High-level English proficiency — necessary for interaction with international partners.
