Contest for the position Innovation and Pilots Lead

East Europe Foundation is announcing a contest for the position of “Innovation and Pilots Lead” for the implemmentation of the program led by the organization.

Location: Kyiv, Ukraine

Application deadline: January 30, 2026

Work format: hybrid

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Search and selection of solutions (scouting):
    • – Monitoring and designation of promising EdTech and AI solutions in the world.
    • – Analysis of their potential for Ukraine: applicability to challenges, context, and scalability.
    • – Development of short reviews and technical recommendations in a clear format.
  • Launch of pilot programs:
    • – Preparation of the pilot program concept (goal, design, success indicators).
    • – Coordination of the program launch with partners, schools, communities, MES / Ministry of Digital Education.
    • – Pilot program support from initiation to final evaluation.
    • – Collection of feedback from users: teachers, principals, students, parents.
  • Evaluation of effectiveness and recommendations:
    • – Together with the Research Lead – evaluation of pilot program results (successes, setbacks).
    • – Preparation of recommendations for scaling or re-testing.
    • – Writing of short executive summaries for government partners.
  • Technology Partnerships:
    • – Building communication with international EdTech companies, universities and AI labs.
    • – Search for partners who are ready to test or localize solutions for Ukraine.
    • – Developing a cooperation model, expectations and roles.
  • Coordination and interaction with stakeholders:
    • – Constant interaction with the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Digital, schools, communities.
    • – Preparing updates on progress, risks, needs.
    • – Working in close coordination with other areas of the CoE.

Qualification of experience:

  • Higher education in educational sciences, social sciences, public policy, management, innovation, digital transformation or related fields.
  • 3+ years of work in EdTech, digital education, educational innovation, technology implementation in education or related fields.
  • Experience in launching or coordinating pilots / innovation projects: from solution expectations to evaluation of results.
  • Experience working with schools, communities, educational institutions or ministries – preferably at the project level.
  • Ability to interact with international EdTech companies, universities, AI labs or partners.
  • Practical experience in evaluating technological products, their relevance to the local context and educational needs.
  • High level of proficiency in English – for interaction with international partners.
