AI Assistant on the Diia Portal

Ukraine has become the first country globally to offer public services through an AI-powered national assistant, now available on the Diia portal. This tool instantly identifies the appropriate service based on your life situation — whether you’re welcoming a new child or launching a business.

No more searching for information about public services — simply ask your question in the portal’s chat. The service was developed with contributions from experts at the Swiss-Ukrainian EGAP program, implemented by East Europe Foundation.

Available 24/7, the AI assistant guides you through document preparation and helps verify data in official registers.

You can already request a certificate of income via chat, with more services to be added over time.

How Diia.AI Works

The AI assistant matches services to your specific life circumstances. For instance, if you type “My house was damaged by shelling,” it will recommend the eRestore service and explain how to use it.

No passport, banking, or personal data is required — your interaction is safe and confidential. The assistant accesses registries independently.

How to Use Diia.AI:

  • Select the Diia.AI icon instead of the standard search and log in;
  • Enter your query on the portal’s home page — for example, “I want to re-register my car” or “give me a certificate of income”;
  • Receive a consultation or service.

Currently in open beta, the assistant is still learning. You can help improve its performance by asking questions, testing it with different queries, and leaving feedback directly in the chat.

The launch of Diia.AI marks another milestone in Ukraine’s journey toward becoming the world’s most user-friendly digital state. While countries like Estonia, Singapore, the UK, France, and Japan have developed their own AI assistants, Ukraine is the first to introduce a national-scale AI assistant that not only provides consultations but also delivers ready-made services. This is a major advancement in digitalization, making state interactions easier for millions of Ukrainians.

Diia.AI was developed with support from the Digitalization for Growth, Integrity and Transparency (UK DIGIT) project, implemented by the Eurasia Foundation and funded by UK Dev, as well as the Swiss-Ukrainian EGAP program, implemented by East Europe Foundation.
