Inclusive Employment with SES

We are launching the Inclusive Employment project to strengthen the State Employment Service in its work with internally displaced persons (IDPs), veterans, women, and people aged 50+.

Eighteen employment centres will participate in the project, including six regional centres: Zakarpattia, Lviv, Kyiv, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, and Cherkasy; as well as 12 branches: Uzhhorod, Mukachevo, Drohobych, Zolochiv, Boryspil, Obukhiv, Rivne, Dubno, Khmelnytskyi, Kamianets-Podilskyi, Uman, and Cherkasy.

As part of the Inclusive Employment project, employment service specialists will receive additional practical tools for their daily work:

  • Coaching programme for managers
36 representatives of the management staff of employment centres will undergo a six-month coaching programme to more effectively motivate and support their teams in implementing changes. Based on the results, methodological recommendations will be prepared for applying the acquired knowledge in further work.
  • Online course on modern inclusive recruiting

The open course will be posted on Zrozumilo! online educational platform and will help career advisors and HR specialists expand their knowledge of modern approaches with a focus on inclusivity. The course will be supplemented with a practical guide on working with internally displaced persons, veterans, women, and people aged 50+.

  • ·Measures to develop partnerships with employers

Project participants will take part in themed job fairs and a partnership forum, which will bring together representatives of the State Employment Service, employers and job seekers and promote cooperation between them.

The first stage has already begun: six regional employment centres are being assessed using the European CAF (Common Assessment Framework) methodology. This will help to better understand their needs and adjust the project’s activities so that they are as relevant and practical as possible.

The Inclusive Employment Project is being implemented by East Europe Foundation within the framework of the Multi Donor Initiative Skills4Recovery, which is financed by the European Union, Germany, Poland, Estonia, Denmark, and is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the Solidarity Fund PL (SFPL).
