Contest for the position of Program Grant Specialist

East Europe Foundation is looking to hire a Program Grant Specialist.

Requirements:

  • Support for the development of civil organization grantees through the proliferation of the Foundation’s expertise and professional experience.
  • Promoting the achievement of project performance indicators and strategic goals of the Foundation, through the development and achievement of performance indicators for the grant program.
  • Preparation and execution of grant competitions: definition of the main parameters (goal, task, main types of activity, target audience) and formation of the budget.
  • Conducting informational meetings for potential applicants and grantees.
  • Analyzing and selecting applications for financing; organization of work for a selection committee, conducting interviews with potential grantees.
  • Finalizing applications in a team with a potential grantees, and the grants and contracts department: identifying strengths/weaknesses of applications, managing applicants and grantees.
  • Preparation of internal forms for the distribution and closing of the grants.
  • Regular communication with the grantee team, regarding progress and the implementation of their projects, addressing possible difficulties, and confirmation of communication materials.
  • Conducting monitoring visits for the grantees (according to ability).
  • Confirmation of partial and finalized analytical reports: performance evaluations for planned results, and the availability and completion of confirming documents.
  • Participation in public events for grantees (as a speaker).
  • Preparation of finalized report documentation and answers to the questions of donors.

Qualification requirements:

  • Higher education in sociology, social work, public administration, managements, politology, economics, foreign relations, or related specialties.
  • Excellent familiarity with accounting practices and standards in Ukraine.
  • Work experience in international or civil organizations (project coordinator/manager), upwards of one year, prior experience with grants will be an advantage.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are a requirement.
  • Professional proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office are required; familiarity with MS Project and Accounting software will be an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and in a multi-tasking environment, with high expectations and precise deadlines, ability to assign priorities in order to ensure results.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to establish and keep up effective cooperation with colleagues and partners.
  • Excellent Ukrainian language skills are required; English language skills proficient enough for professional communication (written and spoken), are required.
